Successful Completion of the Joint Environmental Activity with EC Ma Ndryshe<\/h2><\/div>
<\/p>\n

On March 12, 2025, the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences (FLES) at “Ukshin Hoti” University in Prizren, in cooperation with the NGO EC Ma Ndryshe, successfully completed a joint environmental activity aimed at enhancing biodiversity and promoting environmental awareness.<\/p>\n

During this activity, held on the university campus, two main initiatives were realized:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Installation of Naming Plates for Trees:<\/strong>\u00a0Twenty-one types of trees across the campus were identified and marked with naming plates, contributing to the environmental education and awareness of students and staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Installation of Two Insect Hotels:<\/strong>\u00a0These structures provide shelter for beneficial insects, helping to improve soil quality, increase pollination, enrich biodiversity, and naturally reduce harmful insect populations.<\/p>\n

    Key Highlights of the Activity:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • The event commenced with welcoming remarks from the Dean of FLES, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Albana Plakiqi Milaimi, and representatives from EC Ma Ndryshe.<\/li>\n
    • The process of installing naming plates and insect hotels was conducted with the active participation of FSHJM\u2019s academic staff and students.<\/li>\n
    • The activity concluded with an open discussion on the importance of such initiatives in promoting environmental sustainability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This joint activity is the result of ongoing engagements with students and is part of broader efforts to raise awareness about environmental and biodiversity protection.<\/p>\n

      The Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences expresses its sincere gratitude to EC Ma Ndryshe for this valuable initiative that benefits both the faculty and the wider community.<\/p>\n

      This activity was carried out within the framework of the project “Empowering Environmental Civil Society Organizations in Kosovo (EECSOK),” supported by the Swedish Embassy in Prishtina and implemented by the Community Development Fund – CDF.<\/p>\n
