
Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 Academic Year at the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences
On October 1, 2024, the opening ceremony of the new academic year 2024-2025 was held in the Amphitheater of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences. During this event, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Albana Milaimi, delivered a welcome speech, greeting the new students and emphasizing the importance of the accredited study programs offered by the Faculty.
The study programs were presented by Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mirvjena Kellezi, who shared information about the structure of the programs and the opportunities they provide for students. Additionally, Dr. Sc. Liridon Buqaj presented the Faculty’s infrastructure, familiarizing students with the new facilities and the resources available to them throughout their studies.
Representatives from the joint USAID and Iowa University project, “Private Sector Partnerships for Strengthening Higher Education,” were also part of this event. They presented the opportunities this project offers students, including professional internships, extracurricular activities, and career development initiatives.
This activity marked a positive start to the academic year, providing students with important support and guidance for their academic journey.
The ceremony concluded with a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere, where students had the opportunity to ask questions and express their interest in the numerous opportunities awaiting them throughout their studies. This event created an important platform for building strong relationships between academic staff and students, laying the foundation for a successful academic and professional year ahead.
