As part of the commitment to protect natural resources and strengthen institutional capacities in the region, Kosovo has launched the implementation of the “Wildfire Management in the Western Balkans” program, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development.

The first phase of the awareness campaign is currently being implemented, aiming to raise public awareness about the risks of wildfires and to strengthen landscape resilience through sustainable ecosystem management.

This initiative focuses on the strategic prevention of wildfires through education and community mobilization, promoting a responsible approach toward the environment. The program prioritizes public awareness and concrete action, in close cooperation with public institutions, the media and local partners.

Given the current wildfire situation in the country, we invite everyone to help disseminate the awareness materials, so that together we can increase social responsibility and protect our ecosystems.

 Main objective: to encourage responsible behavior and create sustainable solutions for environmental protection and the preservation of local ecosystems.
