FSHJM contributes to the official opening of the Laboratory for Urban Development and Climate Resilience
Representatives of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences (FLES) took part in the official opening of the Laboratory for Urban Development and Climate Resilience, which was held on Monday, October 13, at the Modelarium Hall of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Prishtina.
This event marked an important step toward strengthening interinstitutional cooperation in the fields of sustainable development, climate change adaptation, and urban resilience. The laboratory aims to serve as a platform for scientific research, professional development, and the active involvement of students in contemporary environmental and urban issues.
At this event, FLES was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mirvjena Kortoci, together with students from the Forestry and Environmental Sciences study program, who have been actively involved in this initiative from the program development phase through the selection and engagement of students.
The opening of the laboratory is part of a broader activity that also includes the celebration of Climate Adaptation Day, on October 22, within the framework of the Kosovo Sustainable Development Week (KSDW). This day will also mark the conclusion of the joint activity, including a certification ceremony for the students and collaborators involved.
FLES highly values this cooperation and remains committed to supporting initiatives that contribute to education, scientific research, and sustainable development in Kosovo.
