
Lecture from Msc. Evelina Ajazaj for Forestry and Environmental Science Students
On April 9, 2025, at the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, University “Ukshin Hoti” – Prizren, a special guest lecture was held by Msc. Evelina Ajazaj, a distinguished alumna of our Forestry and Environmental Sciences program.
Msc. Ajazaj was invited by Prof. Assoc. Dr. Ylli Kortoçi as part of the Professional Practices course. She delivered a lecture to our students on the topic: “The Spirit and Essence of Hunting.” During the session, many important topics were discussed, including the Law on Hunting, Weapons and Trophies, Management Plans, Cynology, the inclusion of women in hunting, and upcoming projects in the field.
Msc. Evelina Ajazaj, who currently works at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development (MAFRD) in the Department of Forestry as an Officer for Wildlife Management Policy, has an impressive professional background. Some of her key activities and roles include:
- Since January 2020, lecturer at the Commission of the Hunting Federation of Kosovo (FGJK) for the training of professionals in wildlife management and hunting.
- Regular member of the Assembly of FGJK since July 2, 2021, and member of the Professional Commission at FGJK.
- Member of the editorial board for the “Hunting Handbook” authored by Msc. Naim Ramadani.
- Co-author with Naim Ramadani of the book “Wildlife Management in the Republic of Kosovo” published in October 2024, based on scientific research approved by the Institute of the Academy of Sciences in Tirana, Albania.
- Member of the professional staff for drafting Hunting Ground Management Plans at FGJK.
- Active participant in various commissions and bodies within FGJK as needed.
- Passionate and courageous hunter, achieving notable trophies including a roe deer at the “Eko-Fazan” hunting ground in Kërçovë, North Macedonia, as well as other hunting achievements.
The Dean, the Faculty Administration, and the academic staff highly appreciate the contribution of Msc. Evelina Ajazaj in sharing her professional experiences with our students, providing them with practical insights and motivation for their future careers.
