Research work within the MESTI Project
In the AgroVet laboratory, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Albana Plakiqi Milaimi and colleague Msc. Liridon Buqaj PhDc, as well as students of FLES (programme: Forests and environment Sciences): Yllka Shehdadi and Urtina Avdija analyzed samples of medicinal and aromatic plants with ICP apparatus within the project financed from MESTI “Research on the concentration of nutrients and some metals of some medicinal and aromatic plants in Kosovo”.
This scientific research was funded by MESTI and, among other things, also aims at the fact that depending on the concentration of heavy metals and minerals, the nutritional value of plants and the potential risk for their consumption in case they contain concentrations above the normal allowed according to international standards would be determined.
