On the occasion of May 22, the International Day of Biodiversity, the Kosovar Center for Environmental Education and Research – KEERC, in co-organization with the organizational council of MESP, MAFRD, MEST, the University of Prizren, and several other universities have marked an educational activity for the preservation of nature and biodiversity with students of public universities at the field station in ITP, Prizren.

Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mirvjena Kortoçi presented to the participants topics related to forest ecosystems, the importance of forests in biodiversity as well as the protection and preservation of forests from fires as well as education and awareness of the population about environmental protection.

Students had the opportunity to visit the exhibition spaces of KEERC specimens and equipment at ITP such as:

– Bird watching, demonstration of bird embalming, demonstration and conservation of fish, aquatic and reptiles, demonstration of devices for catching insects and their conservation.
